Some of my Favorite Things:

  • Hoberman Mini Sphere
    • I use this for focus and to pace breathing. Kids and teens LOVE this activity. Start with the ball closed, and as you slowly open it, inhale through your nose. Then, as you slowly close it, exhale through your mouth. Remember - your breath should last as long as it takes to open and close the ball!
  • Be Mindful Card Deck for Teens
    • This is a big favorite in sessions, but I challenge you to use it at home as a family. The focus is to learn ways to be more mindful, which will assist in being less reactive and more aware of emotions before they get extreme. What a fun way to introduce the topic to your family!
  • Inspiring Teens Magazine
    • This local magazine gives teens the opportunity to collaborate with each other and create a magazine filled with inspiring stories and information.
  • Anea Bogue's RealGirl
    • The author of one of my favorite books has a whole website designed with resources and information for teen girls and parents.
